Born
in Cesena (Italy) in 1966, Matteo Bosi obtained his diploma in
1985 at the Art Institute in Faenza under the teaching of the
sculpturer Aldo Rontini. Matteo starts to express his art in
various artistic areas, from mural decoration to trompe l’oeil,
to illustrations and advertising design. His first paintings on
canvas are dated 1988, when Matteo embarks on new schools of
painting and photography, which will take him up to the latest
digital techniques.
His work is exhibited for the first time in 1989 at the second
edition of "Arte Giovane" in San Marino where he
exhibits for two consecutive years. (The catalogue edited by C.
Spadoni includes works by Mussoni, Poiaghi, Canarezza, Mangiapane).
Matteo is then invited to many exhibitions including the one in
Alfonsine (RA) dedicated to young artists and the ones in Cesena
and Ravenna organised to commemorate the ‘Liberation’.
In the mid nineties Matteo establishes the group "Generazione
Sette" with other artists from Romagna: Nottoli, Cosentino,
Lazzarini, D’Altri, Del Vecchio. With these young artists he
exhibits at the "Le Mura" Gallery in Cesena, at the
Forlimpopoli and Sorrivoli Castle till reaching to the "Arte
Fiera" in Forli’.
In 1997 Matteo is invited to the exposition "Artisti Italiani
del Novecento a Cesenatico" (Italian Artists of the XX
century in Cesenatico - Marino Moretti collection) and to the
review "Arti Visive" organised by the association "A.I.C.S."
in Cervia, Piacenza, Ferrara Finale Emilia, and Rimini.
In 1998, Matteo exhibits some of his works at "Ultima
Generazione" collection of young emerging artists like
Piovaccari, Pulini, Roca, Cola, in the rooms of the association
Endas in Cesena. (Catalogue edited by Orlando Piraccini). In the
same period, Matteo works at some photographic shots for the
company "Fabbrica, Cucito a Mano" and for the
book-covers of "Delitti di Carta" (Clueb Edition,
Bologna). In the summer Matteo participates at the exposition
"Saluti e Baci, Mailart" in Udine organised by
Giovaniartistitaliani and Poste Italiane. The year ends with the
publication of some articles and interviews for local reviews.
At the beginning of 1999, he is again invited to important
exhibitions such as: "Artisti del mio vivere" ,
expositions at "Le Mura" gallery in Cesena, the
exposition at the "Palazzo del Ridotto" in Cesena
organised to celebrate the publication of the book "Biennale
d’Arte Romagnola" by the art critic Guido Guidi and C.
Spadoni), and the exposition "Artisti Romagnoli"
organised by the Italian Artist Federation (F.I.D.A.) at the
church S. Giovanni in Riolo Terme. Matteo also participates to the
exhibition "L’Ecume du Jour" organised to celebrates
postal and e-mail art, Faubourg Saint Jacque 6000 Beauveris,
France. During 1999, he exhibits his works at various other
expositions while continuing his personal research about Internet
and Post art communication:
Mail Art international, Torreglia and "Sei giovani artisti"
Palazzo Vecchio Bagancavallo (Ra) Italy.
